Anthropic merges Claude Cowork into chat, launches Docs, Slides and Design

Anthropic announced that Claude Cowork and Claude chat are merging into a single Claude: users no longer pick where a task belongs — ask a quick question or hand over a report due at noon, and Claude continues the work even after you close your laptop. Rolling out to Pro and Max plans over the next few weeks.
Also launching today:
- Claude Docs: co-write documents with Claude, editable directly
- Claude Slides: Claude drafts presentations, presentable in-app or exported to PowerPoint/PDF
- Claude Design: now works inside conversations
All three are in beta on paid plans, with Enterprise admins controlling rollout. The change responds to feedback that choosing between Cowork and Design was frustrating and context didn't carry over — now everything works from any conversation with existing context, skills, and connectors.
