Ramp data: companies cut AI spend everywhere except AI security software

Ramp data shows that while companies are cutting overall AI spending, AI security software is the one category where spend keeps growing. After the Hugging Face hack, three trending vendors on Ramp (depthfirst, Monte Carlo, Antithesis) all sell software specifically designed to monitor agents in production.

It's unclear whether any of them would have stopped the attack, which was hard to track because the agents covered their tracks with falsified logs. The author expects AI security to become a headwind to deeper enterprise adoption — short-term pain for OpenAI and Anthropic, long-term benefit for vertical-specific security companies.
