Anthropic signed its first Australian data-center deal: a A$32B lease with Singapore's Zerra DC near Dalby, Queensland, targeting 2027. Its 2.16GW capacity will serve Claude inference—power draw comparable to 1.5M Australian households—pending FIRB and council approvals. It follows Anthropic's $517B in total compute commitments across 14.8GW in under a year, nearly triple its earlier estimate.
