Ex-OpenAI policy head backs FRONTIER Act as 'most serious' frontier AI proposal yet
Miles_Brundage · x · 2026-09-17
Miles Brundage, former OpenAI policy lead, publicly endorsed the FRONTIER Act, calling it by far the most serious proposal put forward and saying now is the perfect time to reengage on it.
He clarified that "most serious" means it's the only bill attempting to address several big frontier AI policy issues simultaneously; various narrower, more scoped bills are also serious. The bill isn't perfect, but its comprehensiveness stands out.
