Pangram Brings AI Detection to Gmail, With Zero Data Retention for All Scans

AI detection company Pangram launched a Gmail inbox labeler that flags AI-generated cold emails. User maxspero, who has used it for two months, says it's been huge for deciding how to engage with cold outreach. Pangram notes two internal decisions: email scans get zero data retention (ZDR) — normally enterprise-only — for all users, and users choose the action; labeling-only today, with an option to auto-skip pure AI emails if volume ramps up.
