Design Judgment Is Barely Moving: AI Tools Multiply Good Designers, Not Replace Them

Quoting mitchellh's claim that designers' jobs are safe from AI, almmaasoglu argues design may be the safest discipline: tools have improved dramatically, but design judgment—taste, composition, restraint, knowing what to keep or remove—has barely moved. "On that front we are roughly where we were in the GPT-3 era." Models multiply good designers rather than replacing what makes them good.
