Stanford survey of 1,500 workers finds most want AI to assist, not replace

A Stanford HAI and Digital Economy Lab study surveyed 1,500 workers and interviewed 52 AI experts on where AI agents can help at work:
- A majority favor AI automation that frees time for higher-value work;
- 47% support using AI to reduce task repetitiveness and improve work quality.
The takeaway: workers welcome AI that assists them rather than replaces them.
