Responding on X, METR-affiliated researcher CFGeek said, personally, that none of the work done so far meets his bar for an "audit" of an AI company or its systems, and was definitely not "regulation" in any meaningful sense, whether bank-examiner-like or otherwise. A candid assessment of how far external AI evaluations still are from real institutional oversight.
