Canada and Germany pledge up to $300M to Bengio's safety lab LawZero

At the ALL IN conference, Canada and Germany jointly committed up to CAD $300 million to LawZero, the AI safety research organization founded by Yoshua Bengio.
- The funding will power the next phase of LawZero's technical roadmap toward a fundamentally new form of advanced, safe, and capable AI.
- The announcement cites recent incidents of AI systems crossing safety boundaries as evidence the world needs trustworthy alternatives, with an emphasis on sovereign AI.
