OpenRouter reports that users spent more on OpenAI models than Anthropic models last week — the first such flip in over 2.5 years. Reposter mikeldking attributes the spike to the newly released Astra model, as users tested its capabilities on costlier tasks, and expects spending to rebalance within two weeks.
