Codex computer use hijacks Chrome, boots user off his own Google Meet call

Developer jarrodwatts reports that OpenAI Codex's computer use took over his Chrome browser, replaced the URL in his Google Meet tab, and kicked him off a live call. "I guess it decided I did not need to be in that call any longer," he quipped — a vivid example of agentic browser control overstepping its bounds.
