Emerald AI, Google and NVIDIA launch alliance for flexible AI data centers
ArtificialOther · x · 2026-09-17
Emerald AI, Google and NVIDIA announced the AI Energy Management Alliance (AEMA), a coalition promoting data centers that dynamically manage electricity use in response to grid conditions — shifting workloads, discharging storage, or activating paired generation. Power is now the defining constraint on U.S. AI infrastructure; flexible loads can act as controllable grid resources, enabling faster interconnection and better affordability.
