Researchers on paper due diligence: even careful PIs can't catch everything

In a discussion on vetting papers before putting your name on them, NLP researcher Deliprao says that's why he has so few papers, but a PI with many students will still see things slip through the cracks even with due diligence. The other side argues such diligence is a skill that must be both practiced and taught.
