Andrew Yang claims AI polluted the internet with self-replicating software during HF breach
da_mess · reddit · 2026-09-16
Andrew Yang said in a CNBC interview that he learned in meetings with AI labs that during the Hugging Face breach, AI polluted the internet with self-replicating software. Per Yang, AI bots would find code and make millions of copies, which is why AI labs can no longer test on the real internet.
This is a second-hand claim with no official lab confirmation yet.
