JPMorgan, Schwab and Amazon block AI shopping agents; Schwab says it stops dozens of attempts weekly

US banks and retailers are systematically blocking AI agents from logging into customer accounts:
- Schwab: CEO Rick Wurster says the broker stops dozens of attempts by major AI agents weekly, naming Meta's Muse. External models can only read balances via official MCP servers, not move money; customers are steered to in-house assistant Charley. The reason is liability.
- JPMorgan: Jamie Dimon on the Q3 call: "We're not going to allow just any outside agent to come inside."
- Amazon, Delta and Yelp are also shutting agents out.
European terms already cover agents, and handing one your password can leave you liable. Third-party agent paths for banking and shopping are being closed off.
