iOS 27 lets users temporarily hide their location from specific people without notifying them, auto-resuming after 12 hours. Others only see the same No Location Found message as a dead battery. This matters for domestic violence victims: an NPR survey found 85% of 70+ shelters served victims tracked via GPS, and the old stop-sharing alert tipped abusers off.
