ByteDance's Doubao 2.1 Pro 0915 update is live on Volcano Engine. Key upgrades: agent task delivery with evidence-tracing (a demo orchestrated 500+ sub-agents and 1000+ web searches to verify a financial claim); multimodal coding that reads screenshots and screen recordings to generate frontend code (recreated a mobile UI from a 280k-line legacy Java ERP; 83% of self-repair tasks on the 387k-line Luanti repo hit mergeable standard); stronger video/image understanding; and 30%+ lower token cost for image/video reasoning. Two API modes: locked Doubao-Seed-2.1-pro-0915 or auto-updating Doubao-Seed-Evolving.
