Rhoda AI: web-video pretraining scaling measurably improves real-robot performance
chris_j_paxton · x · 2026-09-16
Robotics company Rhoda AI tested whether scaling web-video pretraining helps real robots, using a real customer task (unpacking 10kg boxes of bearings and sorting packaging). Across thousands of trials and hundreds of hours of robot evaluations, they found bigger models do better, more pretraining compute helps, and the compute gap is widest when robot demos are scarce. Reposters praise the rigor as rare among AI companies.
