- Charlie Marsh shared that Codex for OSS is renewing after six months, now offering $100 Pro plans and doubling grants from 5,000 to 10,000 maintainers; previous grantees are encouraged to re-apply.
- The ast-grep maintainer posted their application: Codex already acts as co-maintainer, having co-built the agent-focused Outline feature and rewritten Tree-sitter's C core in Rust for a 30% parsing speedup. Grant API credits would power daily maintainer automation—issue triage, bug fixes, PR review, docs/tests and releases—plus benchmarks, tutorials, and wasm demos benefiting downstream users like Codemod, Rspack, SWC, and Shopify.
