Anthropic's 11.5GW compute pledge implies $115B+ annual bill; frontier labs can't slow down

Oguz Erkan estimates Anthropic has committed to over 11.5GW of compute capacity versus only 1–2GW currently running, implying $115–120B in annual compute expense once fully built. If OpenAI scales similarly, the two could spend $1 trillion on compute over five years — meaning model companies literally cannot afford to slow down.
