Prior Labs releases TabPFN-3.5, a tabular foundation model handling 1M rows, tops benchmarks

Prior Labs has released TabPFN-3.5, a new SOTA tabular foundation model that can predict over 1M rows and 20k feature columns without domain-specific training. Early tabular foundation models handled only 1k rows; TabPFN now tops TabArena and BeyondArena on real-world datasets.
The poster (a Prior Labs employee) explains that LLMs aren't designed for grounded tabular predictions, and agents should hand over to specialized models the way they call a weather tool. The company is hosting a hackathon for agent submissions using TabPFN-3.5 as a tool, with NVIDIA GPUs for the top 3 entries.
