Responding to a claim that "nuclear doomers became climate doomers and now AI doomers," policy researcher Nathan Calvin notes AI safety people are among the most consistently pro-nuclear-power he meets. Safety advocates are pro-technology and optimistic about progress — they just worry this time may actually be different on the current trajectory.
