Anthropic's Astra tops spend while OpenAI's Luna dominates token usage by a lot

OpenAI president Greg Brockman shared analyst Peter Walker's data comparing Anthropic vs OpenAI on share of wallet (dollars spent) versus share of tokens used: Anthropic's Astra was the top model by spend last week, while OpenAI's Luna led tokens by a large margin.
The split highlights two different winning strategies — Anthropic capturing high-value paying workloads, OpenAI riding massive token volume. The model people spend the most on is not the model they use the most.
