AIUC (Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company), founded by early Anthropic hire Rune Kvist and former METR COO Rajiv Dattani, raised a $40M Series A led by Ribbit Capital with First Harmonic participating. The startup aims to rein in rogue AI agents in enterprises through underwriting-style audits, claiming customers including Cursor, Lovable, Harvey, and ElevenLabs. Kvist argues AI becomes harder to adopt and control as it gets smarter. The news broke a day after Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon quit over AI extinction concerns.
