Odyssey-3: one foundation world model to drive robots, cars and drones
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-09-16
Odyssey (founded by Oliver Cameron and Jeff Hawke) introduced Odyssey-3, a general-purpose physical intelligence foundation world model: a single model that can control robots, power humanoids, drive vehicles, pilot drones, train AIs, and play video games.
- Architecture: an autoregressive diffusion transformer trained on vast visual observations of the world, learning physics, dynamics, causality and human behavior.
- Recipe: keep the world model intact, then train a smaller policy mapping actions to a specific interface — the same recipe across their robotics and driving work.
- Vision: instead of narrow domain-specific systems needing massive task data, a world model serves as a common foundation adaptable to new tasks with little task-specific experience.
