Signal65 worked with NVIDIA to test the Vera CPU (the CPU half of Rubin, also sold standalone) on agentic workloads.
- Key result: Vera delivers 1.64x per-core performance against a leading x86 server processor on agent-style CPU work.
- Why it matters: agents spend much of their loop outside the model — compiling, running tests, cloning repos — and with thousands of concurrent sessions that CPU time is paid per session and per core, making per-core performance the bottleneck for agent throughput.
- Methodology: one sandbox per physical core at full load, comparing task completion time across the full agent task lifecycle (sandbox spin-up → execution → checks).
