Grading 45 AI Rollups: The 2026 AI-Native PE Market Map

Caritas Ventures published its 2026 market map of AI rollups and AI-native private equity. After reviewing 80+ owner-operators, acquisition platforms, and transformation firms, it graded 45 across four buckets: 20 owner-operator/rollup platforms, 14 transformation partners, 3 capital providers, and 8 conventional PE benchmarks. The bar is strict — demos, projected margins, and branded "AI OS" claims didn't count. No firm has yet earned Grade A (third-party verified); Grade B (company-reported) includes Bending Spoons, Thrive Holdings, Metropolis and others. A companion piece graded 42 AI-PE rollups, arguing one question kills most of them.
