Dev Launches Groovie, a Web Drum Machine With 150+ Samples and 32 Patterns

A developer released Groovie, a web-based drum machine and beat sequencer that succeeds his 2012 MusicToy — one of the earliest JavaScript music apps, predating the Web Audio API and sharing songs via URL hash without any backend.
Groovie targets a real gap: most web drum machines are too basic (fixed kit, single pattern), ad-ridden, or paywalled. It offers 150+ samples, up to 32 patterns, and a timeline view for sequencing multiple patterns — solving the pattern-chaining UI problem his earlier app NoiseCraft never addressed.
