Two years after launch and 18,000+ units sold, Unitree announced the G1+, a comprehensive upgrade of its G1 humanoid robot priced from ¥95,000 ($13,000), aimed at making it more practical beyond a research platform.
Key upgrades:
- New 2-DOF neck (pitch -25°36°, yaw ±110°) for more natural observation and interaction
- Shoulder & waist motors: +110% peak torque with -72% heat at same torque; arm motors +43% torque, -30% heat
- Dual vision system: stereo cameras (60mm baseline) plus wide-angle mono, alongside a 3D LiDAR
- Head touch sensing for conversation and triggering actions
- 6-mic array (4 front, 2 rear) with DOA sound localization, dual 10W speakers
- External power support for extended operation; 2h battery runtime
Specs: 1.34m tall, 35kg, 25 DoF standard (EDU expandable to 45, optional dexterous hands and wrist DoF); EDU version supports secondary development, Orin compute modules, and 18-month warranty.
