German ME/CFS foundation funds MARK-ME, an ML-based minimal biomarker panel for diagnosis

The German ME/CFS Research Foundation's 2026 funding programme covers 14 projects worth €2.4M. Project MARK-ME (Sept 2026–Aug 2028) will use machine learning on existing immune data to develop minimal biomarker panels for more objective ME/CFS diagnosis and stratification. Other funded projects include CD19-targeted B-cell therapy, genetic determinants of post-infectious ME/CFS, and single-cell RNA sequencing of immune repertoires.
