Creator sponsorships are price-opaque, arguably the last great paid media arbitrage
alexmacgregor__ · x · 2026-09-15
The author argues that creator sponsorship pricing is almost never public. A brand looking at a creator has no idea whether they're facing a $200 deal, a $2,000 deal, or someone not interested at all.
The friction: brands must DM or email, request media kits, negotiate (possibly through an agent), and wait on replies.
Takeaway: this opacity makes creator sponsorships perhaps the last great paid media arbitrage, for both creators and brands who move fast and know the market.
