Writer Kevin Bass published an audit of Anthropic's finances, calling for a Congressional investigation. He alleges Anthropic has built a "regulatory-capture machine" that structurally cannot be turned off: Dario Amodei proposed METR as a third-party evaluator for model risk, but METR and the wider evaluation ecosystem are financially dependent on the growth of over $7 billion in Anthropic stock, locking the "Anthropic Network" into its own AI-doom cycle.
