Elie Bakouch: EU can decouple 14GW compute buildout from frontier training — rent out most of it
eliebakouch · x · 2026-09-15
Responding to criticism of the 14GW Europe compute report, Elie Bakouch argues the buildout can be decoupled from frontier training: only 2-4GW is needed for training, a small share of the total pool. Other players like Nebius could fund datacenters and rent to frontier labs, or a separate actor could run inference-only capacity under revenue-share agreements.
