Q-CTRL will present its materials-simulation result at the AIDAQ Summit in Berlin (Sep 23, 2026):
- Using an IBM quantum computer with a custom compiler and error-suppression toolchain, they ran a 120-qubit algorithm with over 10,000 two-qubit operations, simulating a Fermionic system with up to 60 interacting electrons.
- The scale is beyond exact classical state-vector simulation.
- They report a 3,000x quantum improvement in time-to-solution vs. state-of-the-art classical methods, calling it a practical quantum advantage.
