Researcher clcrozier spent an embarrassing amount of time learning animated graphing to illustrate a fairly obvious point: forecasting S-curves is hard.

The argument: carefully following daily figures is unlikely to provide real insight—early S-curve growth is indistinguishable from linear/exponential trends, and inflection points only become clear in hindsight. The author built custom animations to show why day-by-day tracking misleads.
