Anthropic posts first profitable quarter with revenue topping $11.5B, up ~15x YoY

Anthropic reported preliminary Q2 2026 revenue above $11.5B, beating its $10.9B internal projection and marking its first quarter of positive adjusted operating income at $559M — up nearly 15x from $787M a year earlier, and overtaking OpenAI on quarterly revenue. The company is eyeing an IPO as early as October 2026. Caveat: the profit figure is adjusted operating income, not GAAP net income.
