Responding to skepticism that AI could help in virology scenarios, Stanford professor Anshul Kundaje says recent interactions with frontier lab teams who have worked with virologists on these scenarios changed his earlier impression, arguing it's worth hearing from those on the front lines of AI bio-risk work.
