Perplexity's Portable Computer Arrives on Windows RTX PCs, Running Agents Locally

Perplexity has brought its Portable Computer to Windows PCs with NVIDIA RTX GPUs. Users can run the harness, agents, and models locally, work with local files and connected apps without sending tasks to the cloud, and fall back to frontier cloud models when needed. The Windows team publicly welcomed the launch, citing the shift of AI experiences toward on-device compute.
