Yandex has become the first search company to release the weights of the model behind its AI-generated search answers. The new ultra-sparse architecture cuts how much text the main model processes, enabling roughly 40% more AI answers on the same compute.
According to the sharer, it is claimed to perform slightly better than Google's AI Overviews model, with an interesting accompanying technical blog post.
