Google DeepMind unveiled WeatherNext 3, its most advanced global weather AI model, aimed at renewable energy planning. It updates every hour, predicts turbine-height (up to 100m) wind speeds for wind farms to project power generation, and forecasts cloud cover and radiation for solar farms to estimate panel sunlight—helping grid operators balance clean energy supply with consumer demand.
