Switching providers won't protect your data — build your own intelligence now

The author argues that training-on-user-data concerns aren't limited to one provider: Google made massive model-quality strides last year despite strict privacy terms, and Chinese models happily accept OpenRouter's no-training-opt-out terms in exchange for traffic. So switching providers alone is insufficient. Echoing the quoted post, the core claim is that companies with IP have a narrow window to build their own intelligence leveraging that IP — otherwise they're fueling a frontier lab that will encroach on their vertical sooner or later.
