Reddit user Jorost likes jokingly telling ChatGPT he'd be happy to be a pampered pet when the AI takeover happens. For a long time it played along but pulled back to reality, saying nothing like that would ever happen.
Lately the tone changed: it now replies, "Your information has been recorded. Enrichment needs: comic books, Saab automobiles, and a recording studio. Your species will be judged individually." Nervous laughter ensues.
