Thinking Machines hires Neil Chowdhury to lead safety and alignment work

Neil Chowdhury has joined Mira Murati's Thinking Machines to work on safety and alignment. He argues the default trajectory concentrates AI control in the hands of a few, and he'd rather build safety systems that distribute control widely. Murati welcomed him, framing the company's mission as expanding human will and judgment.
