Apple ships iOS 27 with the long-delayed Siri AI overhaul in beta

Apple is rolling out iOS 27 alongside watchOS 27, iPadOS 27, and visionOS 27, headlined by the long-delayed Siri AI overhaul:
- Siri AI ships in beta on English-only devices today, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish support due in October; Vision Pro users get it via visionOS 27.
- iOS 27 adds a Liquid Glass opacity slider, redesigned app icons, extra-large widgets, and separate volume settings for ringtones, alarms, timers, and system sounds.
- watchOS 27 brings new Workout Buddy features, a tap gesture, Smart Stack suggestions, and an improved Find My app.
- iPad gains faster external drive transfers and better browsing/Wi-Fi-to-cellular handoff; visionOS 27 adds eye-based notification previews. The release lands just in time for the iPhone 18 Pro.
