Safety researcher joins Thinking Machines to work on alignment

Researcher Chowdhury Neil announced he has joined Thinking Machines to work on safety & alignment.

His stated motivation: the default trajectory of increasingly powerful AI concentrates control in the hands of a few, so he wants to build safety systems that distribute AI control more widely. He promised longer write-ups to follow.
