Relay: open-source Codex skill hands bounded jobs to fresh tasks with one-message callbacks
daniel_mac8 · x · 2026-09-15
danielmac8 open-sourced Relay (DannyMac180/skills, 500+ stars), a lightweight Codex skill from Attention Heads. It lets a parent Codex task spawn a fresh native task with a compact brief and a model/effort of your choice, end its turn, and receive a single completion-or-blocker message back — then verifies the real result instead of trusting the claim. The callback design avoids polling subagents on a cadence, saving usage. Install by pointing your agent at the codex-relay folder on GitHub or cloning manually.
