EU RAM prices cool off: DDR5 kits down 6-7% in 30 days, Italy beats Germany
egudegi · reddit · 2026-09-14
Tracking 20 EU retailers (averaging at least 3 stores per data point), RAM prices are finally softening after weeks of sharp rises driven by the NAND/DDR5 shortage: G.Skill Trident Z5 2x32GB DDR5-6000 fell 7.4% over 30 days, 2x8GB 5600 down 6.3%, most other kits down 0.5-3%. The author is unsure whether it's a real correction or a breather.
Surprising finding: while Germany is almost always cheapest for GPUs, for RAM Italy is cheapest, with Germany +3.6%, Netherlands +5.8%, Spain +6.4% — and the spread (6%) is tighter than GPUs (9-10%), for unclear reasons.
