Perplexity Quietly Enables Agentic Phone Calls: User Uses AI to Book Dinners and Barber Appointments in Any Language
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-09-14
Developer Joseph Jacks reports he has used Perplexity's agentic phone-call feature for weeks: the AI places calls in any requested language to schedule dinners, barber visits and other errands, acting as a multilingual concierge. He says only a handful of users appear to have access so far, crediting CEO Arav Srinivas — a notable sign of Perplexity moving from search into voice-agent execution.
