Tired of ComfyUI dumping every generation into one output folder, a developer built the open-source custom node SmartSave:
- Uses a local Ollama model to read the generation prompt, identify the subject, and automatically save outputs into subject folders (e.g. Raw/NovaMercer/NovaMercer00001.png) — fully local, no cloud API or prompt data leaves the machine
- Can also create compressed JPG copies, preserve ComfyUI workflow/prompt metadata, and handle video outputs
- Includes an Auto-Sort utility for batch-cleaning up existing messy output libraries
- Published to the Comfy Registry as smart-save, with GitHub and CivitAI links available
