Why frontier labs suddenly agree to pace AI: legal risk, no breakthroughs, public opinion
skdh · x · 2026-09-14
Researcher skdh argues that frontier AI labs' sudden willingness to "pace AI development" has little to do with existential risk. The existential-threat talk, he says, mostly serves to distract people and keep the stock market happy.
